After studying work flow, bottle necks and machine down time we realised that we needed a machine to complete three operations in one hit on larger work. As we already had some smaller four and five axis machining centres we realised a large five axis machine was probably the best route for us to go down.

We looked at the machines on offer at the Mach Exhibition and finally did the deal on a three metre, five axis Mazak machine with through coolant and swarf conveyor.

Now fully installed and operational the machine is proving to be a great asset and is opening doors to other work which would not have been taken on previously.
