History

N&R Needham was first established in 1972 in some small industrial premises close to Chesterfield town centre by Neville Needham with some help from his brother Robert and father George.

With some hard work and enthusiasm the company soon outgrew the premises. In early 1977 the company moved into its own purpose built premises in Clay Cross, just outside chesterfield.

With some new machinery the company continued to grow and in the early eighties began to invest in the latest CNC machinery. This investment continued through the eighties and the premises were soon full.

Joe, Neville’s son joined the company in the early nineties after a recent factory extension. The company continued to move forward into larger work with more investment into new CNC equipment.

After a further factory and office extension the company began to look for larger premises. It moved to its current location in 2008 and has purchased more machinery since. One being a three metre, five axis Mazak machining centre.

N&R Needham has always strived for high quality components through a highly skilled workforce and continues to push the boundaries in precision machining.

“NRN provided the quick and efficient service that my company needed. They come highly recommended!”
